1. Health and Safety Liability.
You will be given a briefing on health and safety in the kitchen prior to the commencement of the class. Things to be aware of:- Sensible clothing should be worn – we will not be liable to damage to your clothing. Please wear shoes with flat non slip soles that are not open toed. Long hair will need to be tied back. Our classes are hands on and involve the use of heat and normal kitchen equipment. You are required to listen carefully and obey instructions given. Inevitably there is a risk of accidents occurring. We expect you to take all reasonable care in the kitchen to avoid this happening. By your agreement to these booking conditions we shall be under no liability whatsoever, for loss, injury or damage to you or your property whether in respect of any neglect, act of omission by us or otherwise.
2. Classes.
You must be over 18 years of age to attend a cookery class, unless accompanied by an adult. All classes are subject to availability and will only be reserved once full payment is received, in advance of the class date. Booking is not finalised until you have received a confirmation email from us. Class times are only estimated and may be subject to change. We reserve the right to change elements of the class menu, if necessary, at short notice. If attending a group class with a set menu please be advised that we cannot change or alter the selected dishes due to personal dislikes or preferences. Recipies issued after a class are for your own family use, and are not to shared on social media.
3. Special Dietary Requirements/Allergies.
We can adjust class menus for any special dietary requirements as long it is done in advance of the course date. We will of course be happy to discuss the course contents and adapted recipes where necessary to ensure that you can safely enjoy the day with us prior to the class. If you have any allergies please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements.
There may be traces of nuts or other ingredients and if you have an allergy you attend at your own risk.
4. Cancellation and postponements.
Where you are unable to attend on a certain date you may send someone else to attend the class in your place, or rebook for another date. We require changes to be confirmed two week before the class date, otherwise a charge of half the course fee will be applied to rebook. We are unable to offer refunds if cancelling a class.In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a class, you can choose to transfer to an alternative class date, or the full amount will be refunded.
5. Things to let us know in advance.
If you are disabled, are diabetic, have epilepsy, are pregnant or have any other issues or illnesses you should tell us about please let us know in advance.
6. Standard of Behaviour.
We expect you to behave sensibly and appropriately at all times, and if for any reason we are not happy with your behaviour you will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
7. Adverse Weather Policy.
If you are unable to attend a class due to adverse weather conditions please let us know as soon as you can. We are not able to offer refunds, but will offer to reschedule you to an alternative date, at our discretion.
8. Gift Vouchers.
Gift vouchers expire 6 months after the purchase date, as quoted on the voucher itself and therefore, must be booked and the experience taken within this timeframe. After the date set out on the gift voucher it will automatically expire. We are not responsible for reminding or informing customers when a gift voucher is about to expire.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable unless we are contacted within 7 days of purchase, by the purchaser and advised that the gift is unwanted.
If a gift voucher for a particular class cannot be booked within the timeframe and you have contacted us at least a month in advance of expiry to book we will, at our discretion, offer alternative dates within a 1 month window after expiry. If the class is not taken within this extra “goodwill” window then, regrettably, the class will be forfeited.
9. Requirements as a result of Covid
Due to the Covid pandemic you will need to be fully vaccinated or have a negative Covid test before attending. Proof of either will be required before attending. No refunds will be given if a cancellation is made in the week leading up to a booked class.
